MIUCB #30 - Anything Goes + Open Technique

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Mix It Up Challenge Blog! Thanks to everyone who played with us in last month's "Anything Goes + 3-D Project" challenge! We absolutely loved seeing all your awesome creations! The design team has a tough job ahead of them but be sure to check back on the 5th of this month for our Winners and Top Picks!

Before we get to the challenge details, we'd like to say good-bye and bid a fond farewell to our teammie, Anne, who is stepping down from the team. We thank you for all your wonderful projects and we hope to continue seeing you around blogland! We wish you the very best and we'll miss you. Big hugs from all of us!

On the heels of that news, please join us in welcoming a new team member! Please say hello Darlene who you probably already know from the other DTs she's on. Be be sure to visit her blog - I think you'll agree she's super talented and we know you're going to love what you see!

Hi! I’m Darlene Pavlick from Akron, Ohio, USA. My husband, Mark & I are originally from Pittsburgh, PA and that is where our families reside. We have one daughter who is married with two children, Morgan (26) and Jonathan (21) and has her own accounting business. She is the one who got me started in paper crafting about 14 years ago. To make a long story short, once she introduced me to scrapbooking/card making, I’ve been paper crafting every day since. It is my passion and mental therapy! I am retired, have the basement of our home set up as my ‘crafting cave’ and spend lots of time there spreading my creative wings! I’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderfully talented people from around the world through this craft and many have become personal friends!

I have been on a number of design teams over the past few years and I am very excited to join the Mix It Up team! I hope you’ll come visit my blog: Dar’s Crafty Creations.

Okay, back to the challenge... are you ready?! Our theme this month is...
Anything Goes + optional twist of Open Technique
(any technique you want- just specify what technique you used)

Our challenges are always Anything Goes but we always offer an OPTIONAL technique twist just to inspire you! It's up to you whether or not you play the twist... just remember the twist is NOT mandatory to play! ;)

The Mixed Up Girls have been busy creating some pretty amazing stuff to get your mojo going! Take a look at these pretties...

Feel free to visit our designers' blogs for full details on their DT inspiration projects and take a moment or three to let them know you love what you see - it would totally make their day! And leave us a comment when you link up... we love reading your comments!

As a reminder, you can enter up to five projects in our challenges! And be sure to check out our sister blogs, Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and Love To Craft Challenge Blog, where you can enter up to five projects as well! We'd love to see you there! And if you've started creating your Christmas projects, join us over at our newest sister blog, Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog!

This challenge will run all month long, ending at 6:00 PM EST on the last day of month, so grab your papers, scissors and embellishments, and mix it up with us!

Hugs,
The Mixed Up Girls
